The room features large windows, lighting sconces, ceiling fans and a hardwood floor. the catering kitchen and a coat closet are immediately adjacent to the event space making The Bennett room ideal for most events. The Stockton Room is a second floor space for interior private cocktail parties, seated dinners, wedding ceremonies and receptions. Since it is not accessible it is suitable only for private functions. A fully accessible restroom is located on the first floor of the building with additional restrooms located on the second floor. Private events held at the Arsenal are self-managed (i.e. we provide the event space but no other services). Rental of the Arsenal includes the use of round and rectangular tables and chiavari chairs. Rentals do not include food or catering services, set-up or clean-up services, linens, serving equipment, dinnerware or decorations. The Gardens Garden ceremonies include access to one of our gardens for wedding ceremonies and vow renewals. Most people will rent chairs for the use of their guests during the ceremony. While the garden terrain is flat, there are some challenges to full accessibility becasue of the natural surfaces and materials of the landscape. Access to the museums is not included with garden rental. For information about availability, pricing and terms of use please contact us at 302-322-2794 or info@newcastlehistory.org.
GARDEN CEREMONIES
Our historic gardens provide the perfect backdrop for your intimate wedding ceremony
The historic gardens of the Amstel House and Dutch House museums are available for your wedding or vow renewal ceremonies. With the character and beauty that only comes with time, our gardens provide the perfect backdrop for your event.
The gardens are intimate spaces that are ideal for small, private ceremonies featuring low-volume music.
Because of their small size and proximity to our neighbors, our gardens are not available for receptions or other types of celebrations or events.
